Yesterday some transient orca were spotted off Beechy Bay; on Jan 2nd J-Pod was spotted off Victoria and were then spotted again on Jan 4th heading North in Rosario strait. K-pod has been hanging around down in Puget Sound so hopefully they will pop up here as well. Just off Trial Island they caught up to a group of Transient Orca chasing down a Porpoise for lunch but not getting enough time to enjoy their feast as J-Pod was in the area and chased off the Transient Pod.
